今年三、四月间,我们在福建省一些沿海城市、地区,对青年读书状况进行了调查。在调查中,我们深感青年思想教育读物正面临着严重的挑战。一、商品经济意识越来越强烈地影响着青年的读书取向。近几年来,福建的经济形势迅猛发展,台胞及华侨的投资越来越多,开放和吸引外资程度已居全国前列。1989年,福建省进出口总额的增长幅度名列全国第二。福建省小商品贸易十分发达,每日往返于福州-泉州-石狮-厦门的游客、生意人熙熙攘攘、络绎不绝,绝不逊色于广东、江浙地区。从福建一地,我们可以窥见商品经济发达地区总的变化趋势。
In March and April this year, we conducted a survey on the status of youth reading in some coastal cities and areas in Fujian Province. In the survey, we are deeply gratified that youth literacy education books are facing serious challenges. First, the awareness of commodity economy affects the young people’s reading orientation more and more strongly. In recent years, the economic situation in Fujian Province has witnessed rapid development. The investment by Taiwan compatriots and overseas Chinese is increasing. The degree of opening up and attracting foreign investment has been among the highest in the country. In 1989, Fujian’s total import and export growth rate ranked second in the country. Fujian’s commodity trade is well developed. Daily trips to and from Fuzhou - Quanzhou - Shishi - Xiamen are crowded with business people in an endless stream. They are by no means inferior to those in Guangdong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang. From Fujian, we can get a glimpse of the general trends in the economically developed areas.
