《献给艾米丽的玫瑰》是美国作家福克纳代表作品中最负盛名的短篇小说,主要讲述了美国南方地区一位没落的贵族小姐艾米丽与现实社会做斗争的凄惨爱情故事。整部作品运用了哥特式的创作风格,艺术特色非常的鲜明突出,而且作者有意地将故事进行夸张化处理,目的是揭露现实社会和政治的邪恶面。本文从艺术特色的不同层面对这部作品进行解读,让读者感受这部小说震撼人心的力量。
“Rose for Emily” is the most famous short story in the representative work of American writer Faulkner. It mainly talks about the miserable love story that Emily, a decaying noblewoman in the south of the United States, is fighting the real society. The whole work uses the Gothic style of writing, the artistic features are very prominent, and the author deliberately exaggerated the story in order to expose the real social and political evil face.
