作为参与换头术手术的中国医生任晓平,其实是美国国籍,但他仍然愿意在表述中强调中国、民族这类的宏大意义。而外界传得神乎其神的换头术,在他看来,一切只是在按部就班地推进,或许在短时间内可以实施,或许,一代人的时间都无法实现。2015年9月,一则《中国医生要参与世界首例“换头术”》的消息让任晓平突然进入公众视野,而英国《每日邮报》、美国《华尔街日报》等媒体对进展的披露似乎加深了“换头”的可信度。紧接着“2017年哈医大附二院将实施全球首例换头手术”
