The value of autopsy was recently noted due to the decline in autopsy rates in the United States and the United Kingdom. Autopsy is a costly measure. It is estimated that the total cost of the US spent on autopsy is at least 100 million U.S. dollars per year. Canada has no statistics in this regard. The author of this article used autopsies to evaluate the clinical diagnosis of a teaching hospital in Canada, and in particular the accuracy of the diagnosis of lung diseases, to explain the role of autopsy. In the teaching hospital, a total of 756 deaths occurred between the years 78 and 79, of which 200 cases (26%) belonged to the autopsy and another 135 cases (18%) belonged to forensic autopsies, the latter mainly due to trauma. Solutions to 200 cases of autopsy through the following three aspects
