全员公推直选社区党委书记,是基层党组织扩大选人范围、提升选举质量,加强基层民主政治建设的积极探索和创新实践。2007年,成都市锦江区在龙舟路街道河滨社区党委换届中,开展了全员公推直选工作,产生了河滨社区新一届党委书记及班子成员。这个做法扩大了选人面、提高了参与率、提升了选举质量,在基层民主政治建设的探索和实践上取得了新进展。
The election of party members by all members of the public directly by election is a positive exploration and innovative practice of the grassroots party organizations in expanding the scope of their election, enhancing the quality of the election and strengthening the building of grassroots-level democracy. In 2007, Jinjiang District of Chengdu held a direct election of all members of the public through direct election of party committees in the riverside community of Longzhou Street, resulting in a new party secretary and member of the Riverside community. This approach has expanded the selection of candidates, increased the participation rate, raised the quality of the election and made new progress in the exploration and practice of the construction of grassroots-level democracy.
