The project of “Determination of High Precision and High Resolution Geoid in Hainan and Establishment of GPS Network” undertaken by Wuhan University of Surveying and Mapping recently passed the expert appraisal in Sanya, Hainan Province. Accreditation experts agree that the project results have great economic value and important academic value. The geodetic surface of Hainan identified by this project is the geoid with the highest resolution (4 km × 4 km) and the most accurate (0.090 m) resolution in China so far.
