The narrow fluctuation of methyl-ethyl ketone(MEK,2-butanone) prices in 2009 wassignificantly driven by the cost and a lastingsluggish downstream demand.Comparedto previous years,in 2009 the pricesof imported MEK lost more independenceand fluctuated following the small ups anddowns of prices of domestically made MEKin most of the time.
