Applicant: International Transport Contractors Management B.V. Respondent: Shantou Special Economic Zone Guang’ao Commerce & Trade Corporation. On August 22, 1994, China Pacific Insurance Company Shantou Branch accepted the applicant’s insurance coverage to cover 2999.91 tons of bottled palm oil contained in M.V.Southern Pearl additional war risk insurance for all cargoes. On September 8 of the same year, the respondent sent a notice to the applicant that “Nan Zhu Zhu” was killed in the waters off Hong Kong. Upon receipt of the notice, the applicant instructed MVSimoon, the rescue ship to which the vessel belongs, to make preparations for the sea area Rescue. On the same day, the representative of the applicant signed the 1990 Lloyd’s standard assistance contract with Mr. K.S.
