On April 14, 2009, all the democratic parties and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce participated in the forum on the construction of the Bijie pilot area in Beijing. Jia Qinglin, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, attended and made a speech.
