Fan Hengshan, director general of the Department of Economic System Reform under the State Council, said that China will establish a State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission to oversee the assets of state-owned enterprises valued at 10 trillion yuan. According to this proposal, the status quo of the management of various state-owned enterprises under the supervision of ministries will change, and the management power will be concentrated on the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. The committee will report directly to the State Council. The central government will supervise key state-owned enterprises, infrastructure and natural resources only
