廖承志1908年生于日本,父母是国民党著名左派廖仲恺和何香凝.他的祖辈、父母和他本人都是华侨.他曾两赴香港,并为党的革命事业在港工作四年.建国后,他主持侨务工作,多年来为香港回归祖国而孜孜不倦地工作.“文革”期间,他被诬为“海外间谍”而饱受摧残.“文革”后,他初衷不改,继续为解决香港同胞的困难,促进香港与大陆的交流合作,加强血肉联系以早日收回香港主权而抱病工作.1983年廖承志逝世.今天,他未竟的伟业
Liao Chengzhi was born in Japan in 1908 and his parents were Liao Zhongkai and He Xiangning, the Kuomintang leftists. His ancestors, parents and himself were all overseas Chinese.
