红山墓群位于和硕县红山谷地的西北部,该谷地为天山南麓的山间小盆地,四面环山,地理环境相对封闭。新疆文物考古研究所于2015年7~8月、10~11月对墓群进行了抢救性发掘,共发掘墓葬38座、房址1处及石构遗存14处,出土文物500余件,考古收获颇丰。(1)一、墓葬墓群被两条小河间隔成红山沟、红山、乌兰托里盖3处墓地(见位置示意图),整体呈西南—东北向排列,各处墓地均位于谷地地势相对较高的碱土台地上,周围水草丰美。此次发掘的38座墓中,红山沟墓地5座、红山墓地15座、乌兰托里盖墓地18座。结合墓葬形制、葬式葬
The Hongshan tombs are located in the northwest of the Heshun Valley of Heshuo County.
