中共江苏省淮阴地委宣传部于八月三日至七日在泗阳县召开报纸工作现场会.参加这次会议的除本专区各县报主编外,省委宣传部以及南通专区的如东、海门两县县报也派代表参加了这次会议.会上,中共泗阳县委副书记季怀功同志介绍了关于全党办报的经验,泗阳日报副主编孙超同志报告了报纸如何为政治为生产服务以及编辑部如何安排日常工作的情况与经验.代表们通过参观、讨论,充分交流了经验,并研究了今后报纸工作规划.
