美国英语是世界上很多地方都说的英语的一种形式。美国英语实质上是由十七世纪英国英语发展而来,它不但在拼写和发音方面,而且在常用词汇、口语和俚语方面都有着一些和母语迥然不同的特点。
American English is a form of English spoken in many parts of the world. American English was essentially developed from the English language of the seventeenth century and has some very different characteristics from the mother tongue not only in spelling and pronunciation, but also in common vocabulary, spoken language and slang.
