阅读《中兽医医药杂志》1991年第5期冯洪钱同志《中国古兽医历史一瞥》一文后,受益匪浅,但文中对太仆寺的释语,笔者认为不妥,现提出商榷。冯文在引用《隋书·卷二八·百官志》关于太仆寺的一条记载后说,“我国古代的太仆寺差不多相当于现在的国务院,管理国家的一切事务”,笔者认为,冯同志对太仆寺职能的解释是不确切的。现引用一些辞海、史书中的释义,同作者商榷。(一)《辞海》(上海辞书出版社,1979年版)

After quoting a record of the Taipu Temple from the Book of Sui Shu Juan Er Ba Hundred Hundred Records, Feng Wen said: “The ancient Taipus Temple in our country is almost equivalent to the current State Department and manages all affairs of the country.” In my opinion, Comrade von Feng’s interpretation of the function of Taipusi is not clear.
