焦家金矿区分布在沂沐断裂带东侧,黄县弧形次生断层的下盘。主要矿体位于黄县弧形断裂带上。断层基本走向为北50°东,倾向北西,断裂带上常有厚5～10m 的破碎带,最厚达200m,主断裂面上有10～30cm厚的断层泥。主要矿体有 7~#、2~#和3~#矿体,其定向同黄县弧形断裂带的走向基本一致,上陡(50°～63°)下缓(29°～37°),赋存情况见图1。
