一、前言滚习是一种应用最广泛的加工齿轮的刀具。因为它在工作时是作连续运动,没有退刀空程和单独的分度运动,所以它的生产率较之插齿刀、齿条刀、或模数盘铣刀要高得多。通常滚齿时,切削金属的工作是由滚刀齿顶和二个侧切削刃担任。在切削中,被加工齿轮的大部分金属(图一的深度xm及宽度下部分)是由滚刀齿顶切下,只有余下的一小部分才由二个侧切削刃切去。但是滚刀齿的侧切削刃的周长要比齿顶切削刃的长度大得多;因此很顺然,在侧切削刃单位长度上的载荷要比齿顶切削刃单位长度上的载荷小得
First, the foreword Rolling is one of the most widely used tool for machining gears. Because it is a continuous movement at work with no retractable clearance and a separate indexing motion, its productivity is much higher than that of a gear shaper, rack cutter, or die plate cutter. Usually when hobbing, the work of cutting metal is performed by hob tooth tips and two side cutting edges. In cutting, most of the metal being machined (the depth xm and the width lower part in Figure 1) is cut off by the top of the hob and only the remaining small part is cut by the two side cutting edges. However, the circumference of the side cutting edge of the hob tooth is much larger than the length of the top cutting edge; therefore, it is easy to find that the load per unit length of the side cutting edge is smaller than the load per unit length of the top cutting edge
