我去年三月末得柽柳莳养到7月初基本成型(见附图)共约120日。具体做法分为三个步骤。一、养桩:将柽柳树根浸在黄泥90%、过磷酸钙10%加水的溶液中约半小时,再增加黄泥成可塑性,包在树根周围,以不见丝根为原则,即种植在盆中。盆土要求肥沃、疏松、透水、透气。用园土1/3、腐植土1/3、沙土1/3混合。种植后摇实土壤,浇足定根水,放置荫凉处,每日喷水数次,喷水用具可用可乐瓶,瓶盖钻满小孔,装水,压水喷射在叶面,既可洗净叶面又可保持土壤湿润。经过四个月细心莳养,现在枝繁叶茂。二、培养枝干:先构图确定枝干位置,将不合适的枝条抹掉。先培养主枝,再养第二、第三……分枝。造型时从下到上、从里到外、从短到长,先粗到细,到尾端下垂(小枝和远端枝条均要下垂),注意布局美观,特别要遵循垂柳生长特性,突出枝干苍劲奇特、枝条柔和纤细的原则,柽树造型根据其生长规律和特性,先将弱枝、小枝和侧枝作为下垂枝,部份强枝要剪除,由于造型的需要必须留下的强枝也不宜制作下垂
