In June 2003, two cases of HIV infection were detected in Tibetan population for the first time in Tibet Autonomous Region in 2003. One case of anti-HIV positive persons was found in the general population (unrelated serum samples of hospitals), and the exit-exit inspection Quarantine report 1 case.
