列星“大螟”Sesamia vuteria(stoll)属夜蛾科,为害甘蔗的整个生育期,以苗期严重,枯心苗率一般为1—10％,严重的达50—90％,往往造成缺苗断垄,降低每亩有效株数,引起减产。成株期蛀食蔗茎上部,使植株停止生长,增加傍芽分蘖,消耗养分,致使含糖量降低,品质变坏,有时被风吹折或病菌侵入伤口,使蔗茎发红腐烂。茎顶端被蛀,幼芽毁坏不能作种。
The Sesamia vuteria (stoll) is a species belonging to the family Noctuidae, which affects the whole growth period of sugarcane. The seedling stage is severe with seedling rate of 1-10% and severeness of 50-90% Miao broken ridge, reducing the effective number of trees per acre, causing reduced production. In the adult plant, the upper part of the cane stems are eaten, the plants are stopped from growing, tillers are increased and nutrients are consumed, the sugar content is decreased, the quality is deteriorated, and sometimes the wind is blown or the bacteria invade the wound, causing the cane stems to become red and decay. Stems are moth-eaten, buds destroyed can not be used as seed.
