The China-Foreign Investment Enterprises Achievement Exhibition that showcased the fruits of 10 years of openness was opened on November 9, 1989 in Beijing China International Trade Center. Premier Li Peng personally cut ribbon for the exhibition and made an inscription. Chen Muhua and other leaders and hundreds of foreign guests attended the opening ceremony. At the exhibition, more than 850 foreign-funded enterprises vividly displayed the fruitful results of our country’s use of foreign investment with real objects, pictures, models, and sound images, which fully proved the correctness of reform and opening up policies. During the seven-day exhibition period, the visitors were in an endless stream and all the tickets for the third day were sold out.
