作为20世纪最伟大的诗人之一,叶芝思想体系之深邃、涉足领域之广泛令人折服。叶芝的一生充满了追求与失意带来的矛盾,无论是爱情、政治立场、梦幻与现实还是精神与肉体在他人生思索中都占有重要的地位,同时也是其诗作的创作主题和灵感来源。其中,梦幻与现实的矛盾就在其早期作品中有着强烈的体现。本文通过分析诗人在其早期作品中对其世外桃源特点的描绘,探讨诗人在梦幻与现实之间的精神挣扎。
As one of the greatest poets in the twentieth century, Yeats’ deep and thought-provoking system is very impressive in his field. Yeats’ life is full of contradictions brought about by pursuit and disappointment. Whether it is love, political standpoint, fantasy and reality, or spirit and body, both occupy an important position in his life. They are also the creative theme and source of inspiration for his poems. Among them, the contradiction between dream and reality has its strong reflection in its early works. By analyzing the poet’s depiction of the characteristics of Xanadu in his early works, this article explores the poet’s struggles between dreams and reality.
