1978年12月18日,中国共产党十一届三中全会在北京召开,会议决定把党的工作重心转移到改革开放和现代化建设上来。同年9月26日,中国远洋运输(集团)总公司所属“平乡城”轮装载着162只集装箱,启航驶往澳大利亚。这标志着我国的远洋运输事业正式跨入集装箱时代。到2008年,中远集装箱运输事业发展整整经历30个年头。
On December 18, 1978, the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China convened in Beijing. The meeting decided to shift the party’s work center to reform, opening up and modernization. On September 26, the same year, China Ocean Shipping (Group) Corporation owned “Pingxiang City” carrying 162 containers and sailing to Australia. This indicates that China’s ocean shipping business officially entered the container era. By 2008, COSCO Container Transport experienced a full 30 years of development.
