目前,亚洲是世界最大的建筑市场,引导亚洲建筑市场的是东亚,其重点是中国。我国现在正处在国家建设高峰期,据不完全统计,目前我国每年开复工面积超过20亿立方米,建筑施工任务越来越重,施工安全面临的压力越来越大。为了构建一个更高层次的交流平台,与关心建筑施工安全的各方面专家、学者、领导深入探讨建筑领域的安全问题,为建筑行业建立安全生产长效机制,实现长治久安,在2005年“4·28世界安全生产与健康日”活动之际,国家安全生产监督管理总局宣教中心、中国建筑业协会建筑安全分会与国际劳工组织北京局共同举办
