美国当代作家迈克尔·坎宁安的小说《时时刻刻》中“房间”意象具有明显的双重意义,既是女性的现实中的囚禁之处,也是女性释放自我的自由之所。空间意象的“围城”是文学作品中恒久的主题,对人物的形象的塑造也起到很大的作用。小说将三位不同时空的女性通过“房间”这个意象并置在一起,描述了大半个世纪女性的精神发展史,既是对英国作家伍尔夫的纪念,也是对现代的女性的一种启迪。
The image of “room” in American contemporary writer Michael Cunningham’s novels “moment” has obvious dual meaning, which is not only the captivity of women’s reality but also the freedom of women to release themselves. The “Besieged City” of the space image is a permanent theme in literary works and plays a very important role in shaping the image of the characters.
