帕札浓(pazanan)油气田是世界上特大的有油环的气顶气田,探明原始可采气的储量为14150×10~3m~3;探明原始可采原油储量为1.5×10~8t,油与气储量的体积当量(1t油=1000m~3气)比是1:9.4。气田位于伊朗西南部美索不达米亚平原,在胡齐斯坦(Khuzestan)省与法尔斯(Fars)省接壤带。区域构造位置在波斯湾盆地东北部札格罗斯(Zagros)山前裙皱带(阿尔卑斯期的褶皱)的外缘,属平行札格罗斯山走向(西北-东南向)的三排背斜带中的中背斜带,其北是阿贾-加里油气田,南是比比-哈基麦油气田,东侧为加奇萨兰油气田,西侧是莱格-伊萨菲特油气田。气田地表有当地人称Gash-i-Turush的一种酸性石膏露头。这种表面呈白色,内部为褐色的颜色特殊的石膏,是油气藏上方烃类扩散的地化标志,从而吸引了油气勘探人员。早在1914年就进行了地面地质调查及地震勘探,1936年在高点上的8号井
