兰花又称山兰、幽兰、芝兰,属兰科,兰属,为中国十大名花之一。浙江兰花栽培历史悠久,起源于河姆渡文化,是我国兰花文化的发祥地。浙江省内各地区,如杭州、绍兴、兰溪等地在历史上不同时期都以养兰艺兰的闻名,并出现了大量历史上著名的兰花名品,清代以后达到巅峰,发现不少珍稀兰花,成为培育兰花名种之地。拥有深厚的历史底蕴,发展至今日,浙江的兰花产业已初具规模,浙江省成为我国兰花的主要产地之一。2008年,兰花以最高票数被选为浙江省省花。
