近些年来,江苏省少工委不失时机地抓住重大纪念日和节日的教育契机,开展“红领巾与祖国同行”系列活动:2006年,“红领巾与光荣同行”;2007年,“红领巾与八一军旗同行”、“红领巾与先锋同行”;2008年,“红领巾与改革开放同行”;2009年,“红领巾与共和国同行”……贯彻落实团中央和全国少工委的工作要求,寻求履行组织职能、实现少先队根本任务的有效路径与方法,组织和引导全省少先队员在实践体验中,培养对党和社会主义祖国的朴素感情。“红领巾寻访英模”活动就是其中的精彩亮影。
