So far, surgery alone can only rely on surgical direct vision in order to block the conduction of the AV chamber safely and effectively. This procedure is used in refractory patients with refractory supraventricular tachycardia. Scheinman and Gallagher et al. Describe a new and simple method of atrioventricular block caused by high-energy electrical shocks. Recently, Gonzalez and Bardy et al. Reported the histological effects of electric shocks in dogs, but no data are available from the human body at present. This article reports 1 patient successfully treated with this method to control refractory tachycardia. Case report: Patient is a 66 year old male with intractable atrial tachycardia
