作为四川代表团的代表,我有幸参加新世纪党的第一次盛会,深感荣幸。党的十六大作为一次承前启后、继往开来的世纪盛会,必将以其重大而深远的意义,成为我们党发展史、新中国发展史、中华民族发展史上的一个重要里程碑。我体会这次大会主要有四大贡献:一是科学总结了十三届四中全会以来的基本经验。江泽民同志在报告中把十三年来党领导人民推进中国特色社会主义伟大事业的基本经验归纳为“十个坚持”,覆盖了改革发展稳定、内政外交国防、治党治国治军各方面。这十条经验,同我们党在新时期的基本理论、基本路线、基本纲领一
As the representative of the Sichuan delegation, I am honored to participate in the first grand gathering of the party in the new century. The 16th National Congress of the CPC, as a historical event to be carried forward from the past to the present, will surely become an important milestone in the history of the development of our party, the history of new China and the development of the Chinese nation with its great and far-reaching significance. I understand that this conference has four major contributions: First, we have scientifically summed up the basic experience since the Fourth Plenary Session of the Thirteenth Central Committee. In his report, Comrade Jiang Zemin summarized the basic experience of the party’s leadership of the people in promoting the great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the past 13 years as “the 10 perseverance” and covered all aspects of reform and development, stability, internal and external affairs, and national defense and governing the party and state. These 10 experiences, together with our party’s basic theory, basic line and basic program in the new period
