李长之对中国现代文学批评的贡献是多方面的,他既有卓越的批评成就,又有系统的批评理论。他的批评成就与他成熟的批评理论、自觉的批评意识、坚定的批评立场具有密切关系。学术界对他的批评理论虽然有所研究,但对其理论体系的整体把握尚有不足。根据《李长之文集》收集的论著,李长之直接论述文学批评的论文就有30多篇,广泛涉及到批评的性质、批评的课题、批评的标准、批评的方法、批评的价值等根本问题,构成了完整的理论体系,是中国文学批评史上的宝贵理论财富。
Li Changzhi’s contribution to China’s modern literary criticism is manifold, and he has both outstanding criticism and systematic criticism. His critical achievements are closely related to his mature theory of criticism, his conscious awareness of criticism and his firm stand of criticism. Although his theory of criticism has been studied in academic circles, there is still not enough overall grasp of his theoretical system. According to the treatises collected by “The Collection of Li Changzhi”, Li Changzhi has over 30 articles on literary criticism directly, which are extensively related to the nature of criticism, the subject of criticism, the standard of criticism, the method of criticism, the value of criticism, etc. A complete theoretical system is a valuable theoretical wealth in the history of Chinese literary criticism.
