对—羟基苯甲酸乙酯(Etylparabenum)又名尼泊金B(NipaginumB),为一种优良的防腐药,有抑制细菌和霉菌生长的作用,被广泛用于各种药物制剂、食品、饮料及化妆品等的防腐。研究如何测定这些产品中尼泊金B的含量是很有必要的。中国药典(1985年版)对原料尼泊金B含量测定使用剩余中和法。本文作者利用尼泊金B具有酯类结构能与硷性羟胺反应形成异羟肟酸,再与Fe~(3+)形成紫红色的络合物,在536nm处最大吸收而设计了比色法测定其含量,可克服中和法的不足。具有操作简单、快速、准确、易于掌握等特点。
