多肿瘤抑制基因１（ＭＴＳ１）位于９ｐ２１，编码一个１６ＫＤ的蛋白质（ｐ１６），ｐ１６蛋白是周期素依赖性激酶４（ＣＤＫ４）的抑制因子，能抑制细胞的生长和分裂。ＭＴＳ１主要通过缺失、点突变和５’ＣｐＧ岛异常甲基化而失活，已经证实该基因的失活与多种组织的肿瘤形成有关，其中包括膀胱癌。本文就有关ＭＴＳ１失活与膀胱癌发生的研究进展作一综述。
Multi-tumor suppressor gene 1 (MTS1) is located on 9p21 and encodes a 16KD protein (p16). P16 is an inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinase 4 (CDK4) and inhibits cell growth and division. MTS1 is inactivated mainly by deletions, point mutations and aberrant methylation of the 5’CpG island. Inactivation of this gene has been shown to be associated with tumor formation in many tissues, including bladder cancer. This article reviews the progress of MTS1 inactivation and bladder cancer.
