《本草纲目》原是以《证类本草》为蓝本撰写的。所以《本草纲目》中的《本草经》文,亦是从《证类本草》中白字本草经文摘录的。所以《本草纲目》全书中,凡录《证类本草》中白字的文字,均标注“本经”二字。由于《证类本草》版本不同,其白字本草经文亦不完全相全。加《本草纲目》版本有60多种。其“本经”标记,因翻刻舛误,亦存在混乱现象。
