高检发[1994]7号叶子新同志生前系湖北省荆门市人民检察院检察长。1966年入伍,1967年入党。由一名普通战士成长为领导干部,曾任某部宣传科长、宣传处长、兰州军区政治部组织部副部长、炮兵某部政委。1987年转业后,任中共荆门市委宣传部副部长、市委副秘书长。1992年10月调任市人民检察院副检察长、党组副书记,1993年3月当选为检察长。同年11月17日夜11时,因连续工作,疲劳过度,猝发心肌梗塞去世,年仅47岁。叶子新同志在部队期间,由于工作努力,表现突出,曾五次荣立三等功,二十余次受嘉奖。转业
