The types and mechanisms of allelochemicals in agroecosystems and the effects of allelopathy on nutrient resources management and other agronomic practices are briefly described. The methods and ways of optimizing agronomic practices and making rational use of plant-allelopathy in building sustainable agriculture are put forward , And points out the focus and direction of the research on allelopathy in the future.
