Objective To explore the health status of female workers exposed to occupational noise and to provide a theoretical basis for the protection of female workers’ health. Methods A total of 150 women workers exposed to noise in a steelmaking plant were selected as the contact group and 125 women workers in the administrative logistics group were selected as the control group. The results were compared and analyzed. Results The rates of hearing loss, neurasthenia, menstrual disorders and hypertension in the exposure group were 23.33%, 21.33%, 19.33% and 10.67% respectively, all higher than those in the control group (3.20%, 12.00%, 9.60%, 6.40% The first three items were significantly different between the two groups (P <0.05 or P <0.01). Disease detection rate increases with the increase of working length of service. Conclusion The health status of female workers exposed to noise is worse than that of the control group, and should be paid attention to.
