我国的美术电影创始于一九二六年,当时只有少数艺术家从事动画片的制作,但因各种条件的限制,时作时停,后来又中断了。一九四七年,我国的美术电影在党的领导下,拍摄了我国第一部动画片《瓮中捉鳖》,第二年又拍摄了第一部木偶片《皇帝梦》。新中国成立后,在党的关怀下,我国的美术电影事业有了飞跃的发展。从事美术电影创作的文艺队伍不断壮大,并建立了专门拍摄美术影片的电影制片厂——上海美术电影制片厂。美术电影包括动画、木偶、剪纸、折纸等四种不同形式的品种。动画片是美术人员根据电影剧本中的人物,一张一张地画出来的,一般的说放映十
