浙江省化工地质大队自1982年以来,经两年多的地质工作,在温州市瓯海县渡船头矿区探明了我国第一个大型伊利石矿床,并于1985年9月提交了《浙江省温州市渡船头伊利石矿区勘探地质报告》。伊利石是一种粘土类矿物,它的主要化学成分为氧化钾的硅铝酸盐。1939年在美国伊利诺斯州首先发现该矿物,被命名为伊利石。它的用途,除可制取钾肥外,还可用于高级化妆品、油漆、橡胶等制品中,以及用于净化环境、处理污染等。其他更为重要或更广泛的用途
