2003年我国颁布并实施的普通高中《英语课程标准》(实验)中提出的英语阅读课的教学目的是:培养阅读策略;培养语感;特别强调培养学生在阅读过程中获取和处理信息的能力。《英语课程标准》(实验)中还提出了“加强对学生学习策略的指导,帮助他们形成自主学习能力。”在进行高中英语阅读教学时我们应尝试以策略为基础的阅读教学方法,以改善学生的阅读技能和培养学生的自主学习能力,五层次阅读法有机融合信息性阅读
