This article makes comparison between two countries demonstrated better-off housing areas, one is the Chongqing Longhu Garden, and another one is the Longze Yuan-a cooperative project by Chinese and American government. Respectively analyzing the characteristics of either planning or individual housing, the author finds the different lines of thought on the same subject between Chinese and American architects.
