蒋纬国,又名建镐.1916年10月6日生,浙江奉化人.1岁至5岁寄住上海亲戚家中.5岁回到溪口,入奉化县试办幼稚园.7岁时,随兄蒋经国赴宁波居住,兄弟感情甚笃.9岁入上海万竹小学,插班进四年级读书.以后曾随其父蒋介石出入于东征、北伐战场.1927年国民革命军北伐军底定京沪后,蒋纬国被送至苏州吴忠信家中寄养,拜吴忠信、王唯仁为义父母.随即考入苏州东吴大学附属中学,在校期间,爱好数学和理化,还积极参加田径、歌咏等活动.
