本文主要对光纤断点的定位准确性进行讨论。提出外时标对比法可以使背向散射法断点定位实现数字显示,从而使计时误差引起的定位误差大为减少。采用这种方法可以达到和光脉冲反射法相同的定位准确性。如果把这种方法应用到光脉冲反射法中,则可以使光脉冲反射法的数字显示范围大为扩展。这种方法已用于作者研制的背向散射光纤断点定位测试仪中。实践证明这种方法可靠性高,定位准确。本文还介绍运用这种测试仪实测光纤断点、长度、光纤缺陷及衰耗特性的情况。
This article mainly discusses the positioning accuracy of fiber breakpoints. The proposed external time scale comparison method can make the backscatter method locate the breakpoint and realize the digital display, so that the positioning error caused by the timing error is greatly reduced. With this method, the same positioning accuracy as the optical pulse reflection method can be achieved. If this method is applied to the optical pulse reflection method, the digital display range of the optical pulse reflection method can be greatly expanded. This method has been used in the author’s backscattered fiber breakpoint location tester. Practice has proved that this method has high reliability and accurate positioning. This article also describes the use of this tester to measure fiber breakpoints, length, fiber defects and attenuation characteristics of the situation.
