美是人类社会不可缺少的精神生活.在我们向现代化进军的各种社会实践中,审美因素越来越大量地显露出来,人们欣赏美、热爱美,并且自觉或不自觉地按照美的规律实践着美.所有这些,都离不开健全的美育,同时军队思想政治工作遇到新情况、新问题,也日益呼唤着把美学运用到军队思想政治工作中来.具体分析,审美教育可能有四个作用:
