Connecting a group of UAVs via wireless technology is more than just avant-garde concept. It has been perfectly presented by the EU-funded SARTRE, SafeRoad Trains for the Environment. The three-year SARTRE project, devoted to research, was unveiled by a Volvo FH truck followed by several Volvo sedans to showcase the unmanned convoy of the concept of “wireless road trains.” Wireless road train technology has been developed to enhance road safety factors, reduce the impact of road conditions on driving, and optimize road traffic flow.
