影片《最后的贵族》的上映,引起观众们的兴趣及议论,这是我们创作者的一个欣慰,这比对一部影片简单的赞美或轻率的贬低要有意义得多。我想首先引起兴趣的是它的题材。这是一个大家陌生的题材,因为原著出自于一个我们并不熟悉的台湾(现是美藉)作家白先勇先生之手。他出生在一个显赫的国民党高级将领家中,父亲白崇禧在民国史上占有一席地位。这样一个家族背景,对于中华人民共和国的公民来说既陌生又遥远。于是,表现这种家族的故事就显得愈益隔膜了。
The release of the film “The Last Aristocracy,” arousing the audience’s interest and discussion, is a pleasure for our creators, which is more meaningful than a film’s simple compliment or flirtatious derogatory. I think the first thing that interests me is its theme. This is an unfamiliar theme because the original is from Mr. Bai Xianyong, an unfamiliar Taiwanese artist who is now a U.S. borrowed money. He was born in a prominent high-ranking Kuomintang home, his father Bai Chongxi occupies a place in the history of the Republic of China. Such a family background is both unfamiliar and distant to citizens of the People’s Republic of China. As a result, the performance of this family story becomes more and more diaphragmatic.
