今天说的“鱼儿寨”,不能够去顾名思义,因为它现时并非一个“村寨”,而且,那里一条鱼也没有。据我所知,至少从1933年以后就是这样。“鱼儿寨”是个古老的羌寨村名,它记载了中国地质史上一段沧海桑田的变迁。曾经,它的确是一个名符其实的鱼儿寨。1933年8月25日下午3时50分30秒,发生了一场7.5级的大地震,使它产生了翻天覆地的巨变。查阅文献记载,我用自己的语言来描写当时的情景:“……天崩地裂,飞沙走石,洪水瀑涨,巨石飞滚,万山相撞,昼如黑夜,目无能及,惟闻地动水泻水之音……”
