High-speed diesel engines Under actual operating conditions, the temperature distribution and thermal linkages of pistons and piston rings, while important, have not been clarified due to the measurement difficulties. The authors overcome all kinds of difficulties by accurately measuring the temperature of the piston and piston rings with thermocouples. Revealed a clear difference in thermal flow patterns and heat flow rates between the first and second gas and oil rings and between the flat and conical rings. In addition, the heat transmitted to the piston and the percentage of heat transferred from the piston to the other components were also determined.
