The sulfinatodeiodination reagent Ce~(4+)-NaHSO_3 was shown to be able to initiate theaddition of perfluoroalkyl iodides to olefins at 50—70℃ to give the corresponding adducts in goodyield.Similarly,SO_3-generated from Fe~(3+)-NaHSO_3 system can also initiate the same addition al-though the reagent is not able to cause sulfinatodeiodination.Furthermore it was shown that sodiumperfluoroalkanesulfinate is able to initiate the same addition and there is no exchange between theperfluoroalkyl groups of R’_FSO_2Na and R_FI.
The sulfinatodeiodination reagent Ce ~ (4 +) - NaHSO_3 was shown to be able to act as a solute at perfluoroalkyl iodides to olefins at 50-70 ℃ to give the corresponding adducts in good field.Similarly, SO_3-generated from Fe ~ (3 +) - NaHSO 3 system can also the same addition al-though the reagent is not able to cause sulfinatodeiodination.Furthermore it was shown that sodium perfluoroalkanesulfinate is able to have the same addition and there is no exchange between the perfluoroalkyl groups of R’_FSO_2Na and R_FI.
