山西是矿产资源大省,也是矿业开发大省,1998年矿业产值为399亿元,约占全省工业总产值的44.3％。面对即将临近的新世纪和改革开放的新形势,要为全省经济可持续发展作出应有的贡献,必须以邓小平理论为指导,冷静分析与总体把握全省地矿行政工作的形势、任务与策略,认真处理好资源开发过程中当前与长远、近期与长期、局部与全局的关系,切实保障矿业经济的持续发展,努力实现资源效益、经济效益和环境效益的统一。
Shanxi is a large province of mineral resources and also a major mining development province. In 1998, its mining output value was 39.9 billion yuan, accounting for 44.3% of the province’s total industrial output value. Faced with the new situation that is approaching in the new century and the reform and opening up to the outside world, we must make the best use of Deng Xiaoping Theory as a guide to calmly analyze and grasp the situation and tasks of the administrative work of geology and mineral resources in the whole province in order to make due contributions to the sustainable development of the province’s economy. And strategies to seriously handle the current and long-term development of resources, the relationship between the recent and long-term, local and global, and earnestly safeguard the sustainable development of mining economy, and strive to achieve the unity of resources, economic and environmental benefits.
